Among all the people who have attempted to climb Mount Everest, it is estimated that about 2700 individuals would have successfully climbed the mountain. This is a rough estimate. The actual figures are not known. There are no official records of each and every person who has successfully scaled the peak.
Mount Everest is said to be the tallest mountain in the world with a height of 29,028 feet. It is also famously known as the Goddess of sky in Nepal. The dangers and attractions of Mount Everest are treacherous high winds, blinding snowstorms and sub-zero temperatures.
It is difficult to calculate the exact number of people who have climbed Mount Everest but it is believed that about 1400 people of various nationalities attempt to climb the mountain every year. However, only a few are successful in scaling the peak. The first person believed to have reached the mountain peak and return back was Sir Edmund Percival Hillary of New Zealand in the year 1953. Though this was the first documented record two Englishmen named Mallory and Irvine claim to have climbed the peak in 1924. In 1975, Junko Tabei was the first woman to reach the Mount Everest summit.
It is impossible to give the exact figure of the people who have climbed and reached the mountain peak because the number keeps on changing every year. It is also quite impossible to stop people from getting attracted to the mystic appeal of the mountains that draw hopeful climbers every year from places all across the world.
