Washing hands in with usual soap and then rubbing them against any stainless steel utensil also affects greatly. The sulphides in the garlic will stick to the stainless steel and thus the smell will get greatly reduced. Rubbing hands against any other metal won’t help. Noxzema is a great skin cleansing product and is known for its garlic smell removing quality. It is actually prescribed for reducing sunburns but because of menthol, eucalyptus and camphor present in it garlic smells goes away. Its distinguished fragrance gives no place for the garlic smell to stay.

Prozone and Ozium air fresheners are particularly known for removing garlic smell from the air. When you cut garlic the strong smell spreads all over the room or kitchen. These room fresheners have proven capabilities to dispel the garlic smell. Any other strong room fresheners can also be used. Mild smelling fresheners won’t work much.
